Scholarship

2022 Application Guideline

Requirements

The City Commission of North Miami Beach will award scholarships to applicants who are North Miami Beach residents. The scholarships are awarded to the applicants fitting the required criteria. Applicants must demonstrate financial need for assistance in paying tuition of the college, university, and technical school.  The City Commission will award a total of 50 scholarships.

Coverage

The Scholarship (up to $2,000.00) may cover tuition and fees and educational expenses up to the cost of attendance for college,  university, or technical school. Applicants must state if they are seeking and/or have been granted awards from other organizations.

Payments

Scholarships are disbursed in two different installments, and payment on the student’s behalf is made to the college or university at which the student is enrolled. The second disbursement is contingent upon students earning a C or better grade for classes taken in the first semester/term.
