North Miami Beach Police Department working together with RING for a safer community.

The safety of our residents and visitors has always been a priority for the City of North Miami Beach Police Department. A safer community is a better community for everyone. The North Miami Beach Police Department has entered a partnership with RING to present the NMBPD Lights- Camera-Action initiative. The NMBPD Lights, Camera, Action! program Is a community safety initiative to increase public safety awareness and encourage active community policing. Through this community partnership program, Ring has partnered with the City of North Miami Beach Police Department to provide free video doorbells to North Miami Beach residents. Residents participating in this program will have to sign an agreement with the North Miami Beach Police Department to allow access to the Ring footage for investigative purposes in the event a crime occurs in their area. Participants will also have to register with the RING Neighbors app. Wireless internet connection and smartphone is required.

The NMBPD Lights, Camera, Action Initiative will provide the following:

* Provide a Ring video doorbell device and one-year subscriptions to the Neighbors App to North Miami Beach residents ONLY.

* Allow NMB residents to anonymously post videos and alerts “real-time crime” and suspicious activities in their area to the RING Neighbors app.

* Provide valuable evidence that can be collected and submitted to the North Miami Beach Police Department in the event of a crime.

* Promote police and community engagement to combat crime in our community.

* Allow the North Miami Beach Police Department to share crime prevention and public safety information to our community through the Neighbors app.
