Florida Career Online High School

Career Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program at the North Miami Beach Public Library, funded through a 1-year grant from the FL State Library and FL State Department of Education. This program offers a limited number of scholarships to qualified adult students.


Residents of North Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County who have completed at least the 9th grade and are 19-years-old or older are eligible to apply. Program applicants must have a North Miami Beach Public Library card in good standing or be willing to apply for a library card.

Online High School

Application Process

In order to enroll, students must successfully complete an online self-assessment and a two-week prerequisite course. Following the self-assessment you will be invited to an in-person interview. A determination will be made by the Library's enrollment team within 5 days of the interview regarding scholarship award.
