The Personnel and Training Unit is responsible for the recruitment, processing and background investigation processes for both sworn and civilian job applicants for the police department. A critical function also includes accurate record keeping of personnel, background and training files for each employee.
From enhanced new-hire orientation to constant in-service training, the NMBPD Training Unit ensures that police department personnel are up to date on the latest trends and techniques in the law enforcement profession, and that each member of the agency is properly trained and prepared to use the tools, training and show proficiency while providing the best possible service to the residence visitors and businesses in the City. The NMBPD strives to ensure that the education and training of all personnel is kept up to date to maintain and exceed state certification requirements.
The NMBPD is proud to host numerous training programs for many of the agencies throughout Miami-Dade, Florida and out of state agencies.
