Introduction

The City Attorney’s Office strives every day to assist the elected officials and City Staff to help make North Miami Beach a better, safer, and more beautiful place to live, work, and visit.

The City Attorney’s Office writes all of the municipal laws, advises the Mayor, City Commission, and all city departments, boards and committees. The City Attorney’s Office is also responsible for defending the City in litigation, including filing actions on behalf of the City, preparing and reviewing contracts and legal documents, and rendering legal interpretations of state, federal and city codes.

The City Attorney’s Office is located on the 4th Floor of City Hall and is comprised of the City Attorney, Deputy City Attorney, two Assistant City Attorneys, a Legal Administrator/Office Manager, and a Legal Assistant.
