The Beautification Committee was established under the provisions of Ordinance No. 60-127, 61-7, 74-21, 79-20, 2013-1 on December 6, 1960 to make recommendations and suggestions to the City Commission in matters relating to City Parks and City Beautification.
The Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the City Commission in matters relating to the aesthetic enhancement of the City. The Beautification Commission duties include plan, develop, create, investigate and prepare studies, suggestions and recommendations to the City Commission in relation to parks and beautification to the end that a systematic program in relation thereto becomes effective both as to the present and future betterment of the City.
The Beautification Committee is comprised of 7 members, each serving two-year terms.
