The Commission on Aging /Senior Citizens Advisory Board was established and created under the provisions of Ordinance 67-53, 69-8, 69-9, 79-20, 79-32 on May 18, 1967 to serve in an advisory capacity to the City Commission in matters related to the interests and needs of senior citizens in our community.
The Senior Citizens Advisory Committee purpose is making periodic written reports and recommendations to the City Council and to assist the Director of the Senior Citizens Program in any way possible and to meet the necessary requirements for funding which may be received from any local, State or Federal governmental agency.
The Commission on Aging /Senior Citizens Advisory Board is comprised of 16 members, each serving two year terms.
