The Code Enforcement Board was established under the provisions of Ordinances 80-43, 80-67, 82-21, 91-2, 2000-4, 2010-09, 2012-27 and 2017-05 on September 16, 1980 to promotes, protects, and improves the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the municipality by providing an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing the various occupational license, building, zoning, sign and related codes in force within the municipality.
The Code Enforcement Board enforces the occupational license, building, zoning, sign and other related codes and ordinances of the City.
The Code Enforcement Board is comprised of seven members, each serving three-year terms. Members of the Code Enforcement Board shall, whenever possible, include an architect, a business person, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor and a realtor.
