Hanford Boulevard Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of construction on Hanford Boulevard was held on Friday, March 30, 2007 in front of the North Miami Beach Library.
Hanford Boulevard (Northeast 164 Street between Northeast 15th Avenue and West Dixie Highway) will become the Main Street of the Fulford City Center District. This main street area will combine stores, offices, restaurants with outdoor seating, entertainment, residential and civic uses in an attractive and interesting center for the community.
Street renovations began in 2001 to transform the blocks from Northeast 15th Avenue to West Dixie Highway with wide sidewalks, textured crosswalks, decorative lighting, shade trees, a landscaped median and on-street parking.
