The Youth Advisory Board was established under the provisions of Ordinance 79-20, 91-15 on September 4, 1979 to provide recommendations to the Mayor and City Commission pertaining to matters involving and/or affecting the youth of the City.
The Youth Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Commission with respect to matters involving and/or affecting children in our community. Members of the board are generally students in grades five through twelve.
The Youth Advisory Board is comprised of 30 members, each serving two year terms.
