It's my honor to serve as the NMB Water Interim Director during this exciting time of transition. Your Water Utility is the second largest in Miami-Dade County. It's one of the biggest in the State of Florida. There are so many positive enhancements coming to our Customer Services in 2019. We will be sharing them with you every step of the way. This includes new technology NMB Water will roll out in 2019 to help you monitor your water use in near real time. We already have a system in place that many of our customers are using in connection with their new, high tech water meters. If you are not currently using this web application to track your usage, please ask a Customer Service to show you how to enroll. We will also be rolling out more public information on how to save water and save money at the same time. One way to save water is to make sure you don't have any leaks. We offer free leak detection tablets that are available in our Customer Service Office. We would also ask all of our customers to please call in to Customer Service and make sure we have your latest contact and billing information up to date.
My goal as your Interim Director is to provide transparency for our customers, gain and strengthen your trust in us as we manage the day-to-day operations of this utility with management and technical expertise provided by Jacobs Engineering, and to be diligent and responsive to the needs of our customers and regulatory agencies.
