The City of North Miami Beach Mayor and Commission are happy to announce this year's Presidents' Day Essay Contest. This contest is open to all 9th graders in NMB. The essay should be no more than one page in length, and it must answer the following topic: "Which president made the biggest impact in the United States during his term and why?
All essays must be submitted to Nell.Sharabani@citynmb.com no later than Presidents' Day on Monday, February 20, 2023, at 11 p.m. One winner will receive an electronic tablet from Mayor Anthony F. DeFillipo.

NMBPD will be hosting a free community initiative at Eastern Shores Fire Station 78 to meet your NMBPD officials and officers. During this event we will discuss neighborhood safety, community involvement / engagement, and recent crimes. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
The NMB Discovery Library will be closed for repairs on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 AM.
The library will be open from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
It will then close to set up for our evening event. We will reopen from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM for our exhibit and Documentary.

Beyond Comicon is a new movement to inspire individuals to become future creators. It's a family focused comic book convention where creators and independent designers make connections, showcase their comics, fashion designs videogames, and BEYOND. Sponsored by NMB Commissioner Michael Joseph.

The City of North Miami Beach Mayor and Commission will host a Farm Share Drive-Thru Food Distribution on Friday, February 24, 2023. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Kevin R. Sims Aquatic Center at Victory Park (located at 1980 NE 171st Street North Miami Beach, FL 33162)

The City of North Miami Beach Mayor and Commission will host a TPS and Citizen Drive Event on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marjorie and William McDonald Center (located at 17051 NE 19th Ave. NMB, FL 33162) This event will be presented in partnership with the Haitian Lawyers Association, State Representative Dotie Joseph, and Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson. Guests will receive information regarding TPS status, renewing work permits, residency status updates, family member petitions, visitor visas, and federal issues.
This event is free and open to the community. No RSVP required.

SAVE-THE-DATE: The City of North Miami Beach Mayor and Commission and the Commission on the Status of Women will present the 9th annual Heart Health Walk on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join us at the NMB Amphitheater located at 16501 NE 16th Avenue starting at 8 a.m. for registration.
This 2.6 mile walk around our beautiful Snake Creek Canal will feature a fun health fair where you'll be able to receive important information on how to stay heart healthy and how to prepare nutritious meals.

The City of North Miami Beach will offer on-site DMV Services on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Renew ID Card/Class E license 18 months in advance of the expiration date and CDL license 12 months of the expiration date.
