Captain Sandy Rodriguez started her career with the North Miami Beach Police Department (NMBPD) in September of 1998 as a civilian Crime Analyst. In 2005, she pursued her passion for law enforcement and became a certified police officer. Since that time, Captain Rodriguez served as a road patrol officer and a detective in the Investigations Bureau.
Captain Sandy Rodriguez was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to Uniform Patrol. She also became the Field Training Supervisor (FTS) and the supervisor for NMBPD’s Multi-Agency Field Force Team.
In November of 2018, Captain Sandy Rodriguez was promoted to the rank of Captain and is currently assigned to the Operations Division. She is also the Field Training Captain (FTC) and oversees the Honor Guard Unit, Multi-Agency Field Force Team and the Reserve Officers Program.
Captain Sandy Rodriguez is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University.
